Joes get First Win of 2011 Season!

It was not, as they say, a beautiful night for baseball but the Joes played a beautiful game anyway. On a rain-soaked field, the Joes stayed dry as they out paced Cardinal Pacelli for an 11-1 win.

The hits and runs were plentiful led by Nick's 3 hits. Matthew, Garrett (2), Mark (2) also had hits and Taco laced a single down the right field line. Runs were scored by Peter, Matthew, Nick (2), Garrett (2), Adam (4), Mark, and Taco. Great and balanced offense.

Matthew got the start on the hill and pitched a great 3 innings - 0 runs with just 3 walks and 3 K's. Nick bounced back for 1 run 4th, and Adam closed it out in the 5th.

Behind the plate, Hans and Jacob continue to be great battery mates for our pitchers. Hans even threw out our first runner of the season on a failed steal attempt!

A great team win to post our first victory of the 2011 season!
