Joes blow up scoreboard for second straight win!

This match-up with Suburban Oil started fast as the Joes got up 8-1 early, but SO battled back to get within one run at 9-8, before the Joes put it away late with a 10 run 6th inning.

Joes were crossing the plate all game as the bats were scorching! Matthew, Nick, and Henry led the way with three hits each! Garrett, had a big double in the 2nd, Taco hit safely for the second straight game with a solid single in the 2nd, and Hans also laced a double. Runs were scored by Adam, Garrett, Mason, Matthew (4), Nick (4), Henry (2), Jacob (2), Taco (2), and Hans (2).

On the hill, the Joes showed their depth as six (yes 6!) Joes toed the mound. Peter started and faced only 4 batters in the 1st - striking out one with NO walks. Jacob continued his solid mound work with a scoreless 2nd. Mason made his first appearance of the season and pitched a solid 3rd recording 2 K's. Nick started the 5th and recorded a strikeout before Matthew came in to finish the inning. Adam closed it out in the 6th getting one K with NO walks. Great job by all!

Our D continued to shine - I am still waiting to see another team who handles the leather better then the Joes. Hans had a spectacular day as he threw out two attempted steals.

The Joes showed great character as they kept their poise as the SO squad stormed back from a 8-1 deficit to make it a one run game. These are the games that build character and make individuals a team!
